Contributing to Society

“Think not of how much you can earn, but of how much you can contribute to society.”

There is this question about from Srinivasan Swaminathan, ‘How much do we keep to ourselves and how much do we give to the society?’

Personally, I believe that I don’t think these things can be driven with parameters. I am not very sure that, we can have preformed parameters by which we can decide so much we have to give or how much more we have to give.

But I think that attitude to give at all times; once you develop that, I think over a period of time you keep discovering all the time that when more is given more is filled up. In fact, the attitude an infinitheist should have in a path of holistic abundance like ours is not how much I can earn, so much of which how much I can give to the society.

When most and more is possible, when this and that is possible, when flourishing abundance is possible.

I will put it this way. I am earning 10,000 rupees. So, are you asking me I should give 500 rupees per month to the world? I am telling you, you are earning 10,000 rupees per month you believe you want to give 500 rupees to the world; I want your intelligence to start thinking how can earn 10500 rupees. I am right now doing a turnover of 220 crores.

I believe that I can contribute to the society at least 20 crores and next year I want to contribute 30 crores. The way I want you to think is, how can I rearrange and optimize my resources within the organization and see that I achieve a turnover of 240 crores this time and next year I would like to do 350 crores and contribute 30 crores to the society how can I do 380 crores?.

See, to your intelligence any target is a number that it has to go and work. Now whether you give it 220 crores or whether you give it 240 crores, I understand, if instead of 200 crores I ask you to think about 2000 crores you are talking in terms of very unrealistic possibility but 10% more.

Somewhere, there is a market that has not yet been defined. Somewhere, there is a market that has not yet been touched about. Somewhere, there is a possibility that you have not taught. Somewhere, there is a resource that has not been optimized. Somewhere, a brilliant strategy has not been formulated and you are just one idea away from escalating your earning by another 10%, another 15%, another 20%, 25% whatever you decide.

So, somewhere come away from this mentality a percentage of x I need to give to the society and what is that percentage. Somewhere get into this mentality that, I want to earn so much for myself and I want to give so much to the society and let my intelligence go to work to find out x+y how do I create that sort of a percentage?.
